Lyle Feeney – Wealth Advisor, Certified Financial Planner
Lyle began his career 19 years ago with Septen Financial in Trail, BC, after graduating from Malaspina University with an Associate in Commerce Designation. He brings sound business management principles and a strong foundation in personal and corporate financial planning. Lyle presently holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation, as well as the Registered Retirement Consultant (RRC) designation.
In 2009, Lyle crossed over into the banking channel and joined CIBC as an Imperial Service Financial Advisor where he worked closely with affluent clients in the Imperial Service division of CIBC. After excelling in this role, Lyle became the Imperial Service General Manager for the Central Vancouver Island district in 2012. From 2013-2015, Lyle was the General Manager of the North Vancouver Island district. During his tenure as General Manager between the two districts, Lyle managed over 40 employees across 18 branches, and was responsible for the management of close to $2Billion dollars in CIBC assets.
In January 2015, Lyle rejoined the Septen Financial team, and is pleased to be working directly with clients once again. He brings a down to earth approach to financial planning, and speaks to clients in a language that they understand. His strengths include investment planning, tax and estate planning, insurance protection, and cash flow analysis. His clients speak highly of him in regards to his industry knowledge, and his ability to continuously find solutions to improve their financial position. Lyle stays abreast of changes in the industry, and is a forward thinker when it comes to preserving the capital of his clients. His clients rest easy knowing that he is looking after their financial well-being.
When Lyle is not in the office, you will most likely see him around the arena coaching his daughters, and assisting with the development of the Female Hockey program.
Michael Feeney – Wealth Advisor, Certified Financial Planner
Mike was born and raised in beautiful Rossland British Columbia, located in the heart of the Kootenays, where he enjoyed playing hockey, skiing, golfing, and fishing. Almost 30 years ago Mike moved to Campbell River where he met and married his wife Janice. He is proud to call Campbell River home.
After an 18 year career with Greyline of Victoria, Mike decided to pursue a career in the financial planning industry, and in 2007 he joined Partners in Planning here in Campbell River. In 2009, he opened his own office with Desjardins Financial Security Investments Inc in Courtenay, BC. This is where he met most of his current clients. In May 2015, Mike joined the team of professionals at Septen Financial.
Mike currently holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation, and brings a strong back ground in personal and corporate financial planning, as well as group benefit assessments for his corporate clients. He also specializes in tax and estate planning, insurance protection, and investment planning. He has been successful in building a strong practice from client referrals, as Mike takes the time to get to know his clients personally, not just financially. As a result, he is able to establish a very high level of trust and confidence with each client. Mike is often told that he explains things in a way that is easily understood, and this allows him to put plans in place that clients can easily follow; ultimately, allowing them to achieve their financial goals.
Sandra Rushton – Financial Advisor
Sandra grew up in Fraser Lake, BC, where she graduated high school. She raised her two children in Burns Lake BC (where winter meant 5 feet of snow and 40 below). She relocated to Campbell River in 2006 where she met and married her husband Mike. Sandra is proud to call Campbell River home.
Sandra has spent over 30 years in the banking industry across many roles. She began her career as a teller in Prince George, BC, and then moved on to work as a Financial Representative for 9 years, which included providing investment advice, writing mortgages and loans, and general financial planning for clients. Sandra transferred to Port Hardy to assume the role of Assistant Manager and within the year she moved into the Branch Manager role in the Port Hardy /Bella Bella branches. In 2006, Sandra relocated to Campbell River as Branch Manager and spent the next 5 years building her reputation in our local community.
In 2011, Sandra decided to move into a Financial Planning role at the Courtenay Branch where she would be working with clients on a one-on-one basis, which is where her true passion lies. Sandra made an exciting career change in 2015, when she joined the professionals at Septen Financial, where she is able to spend her time working with clients to help them achieve their financial goals and dreams. Sandra is pleased to be back in Campbell River and working closely with the clients that she has a strong connection with. Sandra always takes the necessary time to get to know her clients intimately, and spends the necessary time to develop a plan that is unique to their individual needs.
Sandra loves to be involved in the communities that she lives in. She joined Rotary a number of years ago when she first moved to Port Hardy, and has continued with the Campbell River chapter over the past 8 years, and will be assuming the role of president of Rotary in 2016. When Sandra is not busy doing something Rotary related, you will find her walking or riding her bike. She and her husband also frequent the hockey arena where they are seen most Friday nights volunteering for the Campbell River Storm.
Jasmine Meyers – Financial Advisor
Jasmine was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta and after a visit to the west coast, she quickly relocated; she was in love. She started at RBC in Gibsons, BC in 2000 and quickly moved up the ranks; holding positions of Account Manager, Senior Account Manager, and Senior Small Business Account Manager. She became mutual fund licensed in 2002.
In 2004, Jasmine was transferred to Port Alberni where she met her husband, Bob, and they married in 2007. RBC then transferred her to beautiful Campbell River in 2009 and she knew she had found her forever home.
Throughout her career, Jasmine has worked on continuing to grow her industry knowledge, and obtained her Certificate in Personal Financial Services in 2010. Jasmine joined CIBC in 2012 as a Business Financial Advisor, where she excelled in her role, and won the Annual Achiever award, which recognizes the top performers in the country.
Jasmine joined the group of professionals at Septen Financial in February 2016. She has had the pleasure of advising some of Campbell River’s most affluent residents, and prides herself on delivering amazing customer service, while helping them fulfill their financial goals and dreams.
When she is not in the office, you can find her and her husband camping and fishing locally, travelling the world, and cooking up a storm. She loves volunteering in the community and is the chairperson for Strathcona Community Futures.
Jennifer Daffurn – Financial Advisor
Jennifer was born and raised on Vancouver Island, spending most of her years in Port Hardy. She began her career 12 years ago at CIBC as a teller, and was promoted to such roles as Financial Services Representative and Branch Manager, where she ran a team of 13 individuals.
Jennifer’s true passion was assisting people in achieving financial milestones, therefore, she chose to become a Financial Advisor in 2011. Her primary role was working with an affluent clientele, and providing them with a full spectrum of financial planning solutions and advice.
In 2014, Jennifer relocated to Campbell River where she has enjoyed continued success as a Financial Advisor, and in February 2016 Jennifer joined the team of professionals at Septen Financial. She is a personable individual who enjoys being involved with the community, building strong ties, and connecting with those around her.
Jennifer has a down to earth approach to explaining and developing unique and individualized plans in a way that is easy to understand. She understands that it is imperative to get to know each of her clients on a personal level in order to best understand their needs.
Jennifer is very excited to join the team of Professionals at Septen Financial, and looks forward to continuing to work with the many individuals with whom she has established relationships with. Her client’s know that they are working with an ethical and credible advisor who they can trust is always working in their best interest.
Outside of work, Jennifer’s first priority is her family where she spends quality time camping, fishing, beachcombing and the many other opportunities and adventures that North Island has to offer.
Marilyn Lewis – Assistant
Marilyn has lived in Campbell River for most of her life. Marilyn and her husband Dale raised their family here. They have 2 children and 5 grandchildren. Marilyn maintains a very active lifestyle and has spent most of her adult life volunteering for the Fraternal Order of Eagles, raising funds for various charities throughout our community.
After finishing high school she went to work in the banking industry at CIBC. She started as a ledger clerk and over the years was promoted to teller, and then eventually to supervisor. Through bank restructuring Marilyn finished her career with CIBC as a Financial Services Associate. Marilyn worked at CIBC for a total of 42 years, retiring in 2013. Marilyn was approached by the team of professionals at Septen Financial to join them in 2015 and she is happy that she did.
Although her short retirement was enjoyed, she is much happier when she is busy.
